User access card
Path in CC5: System settings - Access control - Add a new group
System settings - Access control - Edit
The user access card opens when creating or editing a user group under System settings - Access control.

Enter the general group information.
Title: The name of the user access.
SSO: Forces the users in this group to log on via Single Sign On (SSO). In this case, standard login via Complete Control will be disabled. Note that this is additional functionality. Your regular contact person at House of Control AS can tell you more about this extension.
Companies: If Complete Control is set-up with group structure, select the companies this user profile shall be valid for.
Administrator: If you have the optional module Corporate Group Structure, you can define if an administrator shall also have administrator access for other companies.

In this tab, you fine-tune the access, sorted by the various sections in the system.
Functionality
In general, you can assign five accesses per section and sub-section:
-
[Empty]: If nothing is selected (not even Read-access), the user will not have access.
-
Read: The users can view, but not change contents.
-
Update: The users can read and change contents.
-
Create: The users can read and change content. In addition, they can create new entries such as new contracts, assets or persons.
-
Delete: The user can delete entries such as existing contracts, assets or persons. We recommend that only system administrators can delete data.
Note!
The accesses are assigned within a parent-child structure: For example, Organization is a "parent" whereas Departments and Locations are its "children" (on a lower level). As a consequence, this means: If you e.g. remove access for a parent, it will also be removed for the children. But when giving access to the parent, you must still give it to the children as it is not given automatically. Usually, the children are indented so that you can immediately recognize the hierarchy.
Tip!
Lower access rights are ticked automatically. This means: If you e.g. want to assign Create rights, you needn't tick the "lower" read and update right boxes, too. Simply tick Create.
Permissions per Company
You can define access to fields and contents for each company the user group has access to (this is defined on the General tab).
Set up field permissions: Some fields can have separate access rights. This is an additional feature. Your regular contact person at House of Control AS can tell you more about this extension.
Content: All content means that the user group has access to all entries in the database. Customized content means that this user group has only access to content from certain departments, categories, locations or user relations. No content means that only the users own content is displayed.

Here you can find all users in this group.
Tip!
You can add new members from the person card. See User account.
